雇員高盛集團(Goldman Sachs Group Inc.)受到三名離職女員工的起訴,她們指控高盛執(zhí)行一套女員工報酬較少、升職機會較少以及“系統(tǒng)性規(guī)避和排擠女員工”的制度。
這樁向紐約州南區(qū)聯(lián)邦法院提起的訴訟稱高盛的做法“極為隱蔽”,并說高盛男女員工同工不同酬,男員工不僅有更多升職機會,還會得到有利可圖、前程大好的機遇和重任。
高盛的代表在一份電子郵件聲明中表示,公司認為這起訴訟毫無根據(jù)。
聲明說,人們對高盛十分挑剔,我們在招聘、培養(yǎng)以及留住表現(xiàn)出色的女性專業(yè)人士方面做出了非比尋常的努力。起訴高盛的三名女性分別是1997-2005年在高盛供職的陳-奧斯特(H. Cristina Chen-Oster)、2001-2008年供職的帕里西(Lisa Parisi)以及分別在2006年和2007-2008年供職的奧里奇(Shanna Orlich)。
Three Women Sue Goldman,Alleging Bias Goldman Sachs Group Inc. was sued by three female former employees who allege the investment bank practices a system in which women are paid less,promoted less and 'systematically circumvented and excluded.
The suit,filed in federal court in the Southern District of New York,refers to Goldman as 'famously secretive' and says women are paid less than their male counterparts in the same roles and that men are promoted more and are given the 'most lucrative and promising opportunities [and] assignments.
In an emailed statement,a Goldman Sachs representative said the company believes the suit is without merit.
People are critical to our business,and we make extraordinary efforts to recruit,develop and retain outstanding women professionals,' the statement read. The women suing the firm are H. Cristina Chen-Oster,who worked there from 1997 to 2005,Lisa Parisi,employed from 2001 to 2008,and Shanna Orlich, who worked there in 2006 and then from 2007 to 2008.
